About the Staff
Nicole Mercer
Nicole, Julie’s niece, has been managing Two Chicks Quilting full-time since spring of 2016. She learned to sew when she was around eight years-old from her great-grandma. After starting at Two Chicks, she became an expert at the Handi Quilter, embroidery, and making our customers happy. When she isn’t at work, she loves doing anything outside and spending time with her husband Blake and their little girl Raleigh.
Maddie Workmon
Maddie has been a friendly face at Two Chicks Quilting since January of 2017. She was taught to sew by her neighbor when she was six years-old and keeps her talents going at the shop: running the Handi Quilter, piecing quilts, designing patterns, and more. When she isn’t at Two Chicks, she takes it easy by watching movies, reading, and spending time with her husband, Brandon.
Katelyn Roades
Katelyn, Nicole’s younger sister, has been a chickadee since August of 2017. She’s been sewing since her granny taught her three years ago. At Two Chicks Quilting, she works on embroidery, piecing quilts, and helping customers. Katelyn will graduate college in December of 2018 and will pursue teaching. When she isn’t focusing on work or school, she spends time doing things outside.
Hannah Janssen
Hannah has been with Two Chicks since December of 2016. She learned to sew when she was around ten years-old from her grandma and from her mom and Julie through 4-H. She attends college at UT-Austin, so while she isn’t always in-store, you can catch her helping out on holidays and some weekends. When she isn’t making things at Two Chicks Quilting, she’s making her own crafty things or spending time outside.
